Today is a great yet tumultuous day for Apple lovers. At midnight, Apple’s preorders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus kicked off, and many people immediately experienced problems ordering from the online store, along with carrier sites including Sprint and T-Mobile.
Twitter and Facebook was filled with complaints including the following:
The world’s biggest stress test #iphone6 #preorder pic.twitter.com/wqOId5CXnK

“So basically woke up at 3:00 for nothing because I went right in the app 15 mins ago and bought a new device. Delivers 9/19. Bah #iPhone6“
“store.apple.com/us/go/iphone you have ONLY ONE job is anyone able to preorder the new iphones?”
Nevertheless, Verizon customers have been quick to brag of their better success this morning:
“Happy to see the @verizonwireless site is up and running smoothly for #preorder!”
“The most reliable network was pretty reliable for iPhone 6 #preorders – just sayin'”
Unfortunately, the Apple Store was down until 4 am ET for many customers. Nevertheless, many people found workarounds on their carrier websites or through the Apple Store’s mobile app. Currently one of our webmasters is currently on hold ordering his own. That’s right, you can also order over the phone. Innovative idea, right?
