Samsung Galaxy S6 Specs Leaked

There’s news for early adopting Samsung-lovers this week. The eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S6 may have had its specs leaked to world. BGR reports that cnmo.com got its hands on a spec screenshot from a benchmark application known as AnTuTu. The benchmark notes that a “Samsung Galaxy S6″ has Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 5.5” screen with 1440×2560 pixels (eerily, that’s the exact same as the Droid Turbo‘s 5.2″ AMOLED), a Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa-core chip, and 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal storage. The upcoming flagship is also said to come with a 20-megapixel rear-cam and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The rumor mill does not suggest evidence for Samsung releasing the new Galaxy phone any time soon. But if history tells us anything, it could be unveiled in February or March of 2015 like the previous S4/S5 debuts. However, reports of performance issues with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, which is likely to be included in many American Android phones coming in 2015, could delay production on the S6 even further.

But let’s keep a level head. Considering the S6’s supposed screen resolution noted on this screenshot is the same as the 5.2″ Droid Turbo, we think either the entire thing is a mock-up, or the device may actually only be 5.2″. The latter explanation may be more sensible considering the sizes of previous Samsung Galaxy iterations, which have never reached above 5.1″.
